Game Days take place in the unique Nádvorie space of contemporary culture in Trnava. It is an inner square in the center of the town, formed by a number of historic buildings, protected by the memorial board, that were bought, restored and combined into one functional complex. The reconstruction and new constructions were supervised by architects Matúš Vallo and Oliver Sadovský. The project and the realization of the complex that includes gastro facilities, arts & concert hall, apartments for rent, shops and a co-working space, was awarded two CE.ZA.R awards for architecture in 2018, including the Public Choice Award.
The festival programme will be distributed among several facilities of Nádvorie. Presentations, talks and workshops will take place in the lecture halls, the co-working space will host the game jam and the hackaton. Concerts and other accompanying programme will take place in the exterior. The unique extensive basement space with beautiful brick arches will serve as a gallery for exhibitions and installations and also as a night-time party place.
